The description above records what the real place supplied on screen. The list gives each linked case and its principal fictional setting; a production may use only one building or street rather than the entire settlement.
Beyond the camera
About the real place
Beaconsfield has two distinct centres. The Old Town grew around a historic road junction and retains coaching inns, churches and period buildings, while the New Town developed around the railway in the early twentieth century. Screen productions mainly prize the older streets and the substantial properties nearby.
A location visit can be paired with Bekonscot Model Village in the New Town, one of Britain's oldest model villages, or with other south Buckinghamshire stops. Traffic through the Old Town can be busy, so it is better approached as a walking circuit from proper public parking than as a sequence of roadside photographs.
