The owners of Karras Games assemble at their remote manor for an elaborate murder-mystery weekend. After Victor Karras dies on the stairs beneath a falling statue, severe weather cuts off the estate and leaves Barnaby and Winter investigating inside a closed circle of relatives and associates.
Questions about the company, Victor's legacy and Eleanor Karras's plans for her unborn child complicate the apparent accident. A second killing confirms that the weekend's staged clues are competing with a very real family contest over belonging and control.
