Mel WallaceMel killed Jez Gladberry and Kelly Kirk-Lees after letting both into the private refuge she had built around Daisy Cottage and experiencing their plans to leave as further abandonment. She used the Wolf Hunter identity, Eric Gladberry's boots and Jez's reconstructed weapon as cover, then threatened her biological father Pat Everett before the confrontation was defused.
Verified motive
Mel's adoption trauma became an extreme fear of abandonment. She secretly bought Daisy Cottage as the haven she had never had, killed Jez and Kelly when each planned to leave and used the abandoned Wolf Hunter as her identity; she threatened Pat when she blamed him for driving away the biological parents she had finally traced, but their reunion stopped the attack.
