Tom and Joyce's quiet spa weekend is interrupted by a body in a flotation chamber and a disappearing husband.
Concerned about his health and approaching birthday, Tom reluctantly joins Joyce at Swavely Manor for a spa weekend. A client is found dead in the flotation chamber, her husband disappears and the retreat's owners and practitioners supply more tension than relaxation.
Jones joins the investigation as another death deepens the mystery. The case makes room for Tom's doubts about age, work and family before he reaches a decision that belongs to his life rather than to the killer's plan.
Break the seal: reveal the finding
Barnaby resolves the spa murders by separating personal grievances from the retreat's wellness rivalries. Afterwards he announces his retirement, with cousin John named as successor.
