Performer biography

Tom Ellis is a Welsh actor who became widely known as Gary in Miranda and as the title character in Lucifer. His other television work includes Rush, The Fades and Tell Me Lies.

Ellis built his career in British television before the success of Lucifer, where he played the title character over multiple seasons. Miranda had already made his Gary a familiar romantic-comedy figure. His Midsomer credit offers a look at an earlier supporting part within a career that later crossed to American television leads.
