The Cricketers
The Cricketers sits beside Littlewick Green’s village green and cricket pitch, a classic open setting that remains the focus of the village. From its terrace, the pub looks onto the playing field, with the church and village buildings close by. The setting is the attraction here: the green, pitch and pub form a compact scene that visitors can enjoy as part of a walk through Littlewick Green. The green is a natural place to pause and take in the village centre. Those village surroundings also make it an instantly legible Midsomer location. Its best-known role is the pub and festival backdrop in The Scarecrow Murders; it also appears as locals in Little Crosby and Godley Buzzard.
The open green and cricket pitch are the defining view here, with the pub looking across the playing field. Together they make a relaxed village stop and a convincing setting for community scenes. For current access and opening details, check the visitor information below before setting out.
