About the real place
Littlewick Green is arranged around a triangular village green south-west of Maidenhead. The green is bordered by cottages, the Cricketers pub, a village hall and the late-Victorian church of St John the Evangelist, creating a complete rural ensemble within a very small area.
The village also has a performing-arts connection through Redroofs, the former home of composer and actor Ivor Novello and later a theatre school. Most buildings are private, however, and the green remains shared community space. A short, respectful walk is more appropriate than an extended tour of individual houses.
