Hambleden stands near the southern end of the Hambleden Valley, surrounded by wooded Chiltern hills and flint-and-brick buildings. St Mary the Virgin Church has Norman origins, while the village centre, shop and manor-estate character have made the settlement a frequent screen location.
This is excellent walking country: routes connect Hambleden with Turville, Fingest and the valley floor. The village is also a working estate and residential community, so its beauty is best experienced slowly on established paths. Expect narrow roads, active farm traffic and limited space rather than studio-tour infrastructure.
