Sally Phillips co-created and starred in the sketch show Smack the Pony. She is also widely known as Shazza in the Bridget Jones films and Tilly in Miranda.
Her work has ranged across sitcom, film, presenting and more serious television roles. Her Midsomer appearance uses that flexibility in one of the programme's most unusual village settings.
