Honor Blackman became a television pioneer as Cathy Gale in The Avengers and a global film icon as Pussy Galore in Goldfinger. She continued working across theatre, film and television throughout a career of more than sixty years.

Blackman challenged the limited roles often available to women in 1960s television through her action-ready Cathy Gale in The Avengers. Goldfinger then made her one of the best-known Bond performers. She continued to work in theatre and television for decades, bringing an unmistakable combination of independence and authority to A Talent for Life.
